My name is Poppy Fair, and I’m delighted to welcome you to Gracefull Reflections.
Life has had its fair share of challenges and changes, but through them all, I’ve come to see God’s grace at work in both the still and stormy seasons. These past couple of years have been full of joy, loss, growth, and new beginnings – from marriage and motherhood to putting down roots (quite literally!) in our first home.
This space is where I share the lessons I’m learning along the way – about faith, creativity, and the simple beauty found in everyday life. Whether I’m reflecting on God’s grace or writing about my latest attempt to grow vegetables and flowers, I hope you’ll find encouragement here to pause, reflect, and see His goodness in your own journey too.
A little bit about me…
Originally from North Devon, I now live in the beautiful city of Bath. I moved here six years ago (I can’t quite believe it’s been that long!) to study Journalism and Publishing at Bath Spa University. I now work as a Communications Officer for an MP, while navigating life as a new mum. I have a real love for all things floral and am currently working on turning our garden into a little green haven.
Family life…
September 2023 marked a new chapter of joy with my now-husband, Shem. Since then, life has continued to unfold with grace and purpose. In January 2025, we moved into our first home together, and a few months later, in May, we welcomed our little girl into the world — the first of many, we hope. We’re now learning to settle into this new adventure, trusting God’s hand to guide us through both the joys and the storms.
Just a Christian girl…
I wasn’t always a Christian. I did always believe in God and thought of myself as one, but it wasn’t until November 2020 that I had a true realisation of who Jesus is, and that it’s through Him we’re able to really experience God’s love! From September 2022 – June 2023, I worked in my church as a Ministry Trainee. This gave me the chance to really understand more of the Bible, and has greater shaped my perspective on life.
